CARE + DISPLAY OF YOUR ENCAUSTIC ART -
Although encaustic paintings are shiny, they are not varnished, but have been hand buffed. Over time, the wax may become a little dull or collect dust. Regular (or once in a while ;) buffing the surface with a lint free cotton rag or piece of nylon stocking will bring back the glossy surface. Encaustic paintings should be kept from extreme temperatures (hot or cold) and harsh sunlight. By taking these simple steps, your piece should last for many years!
