Karen has loved all things art for as long as she can remember - and growing up on the west coast of BC gave Karen a love and connection to the forest and ocean - themes that are often reflected in her art.
Karen’s career started in office admin and accounting before she answered the creative call and ran her greeting card company. Over the last few years, Karen has enjoyed working on interior design projects and assisting her husband Yorke with his metal art. Now, feeling it’s time for a change, challenge, and new artistic expression, Karen is sharing her encaustic and acrylic art with a wider audience.
Karen and Yorke raised their two grown boys in the seaside community of Boundary Bay where they still reside. If not at home in her studio, or lake house in the North Shuswap, Karen can be hard to find as she and her husband fulfill their love of travel and exploration.
“Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful”.
