Karen has loved all things art for as long as she can remember.
Growing up on the west coast of BC gave her a love and connection to the forest and ocean, themes often reflected in her art.  

Karen’s career started in office admin and accounting before she answered the creative call and started a photo greeting card company with representation across Canada and the USA.  Since closing up the card shop and putting down her camera, Karen has enjoyed working on interior design projects and assisting her husband Yorke with metal sculptures. Karen’s latest artistic adventure is in expressed in encaustic and acrylic paintings.  

Karen and Yorke raised their now two grown boys in the seaside community of Boundary Bay and now reside on a small beautiful acreage on Salt Spring Island. When not in her studio or garden, Karen can be found with her husband, fulfilling their love of travel and exploration.
